A-custica

A-custica Performing Arts is a unique concept located in the heart of Oslo, founded by Iselin Jansen Ruiz and Alexis Ruiz. Built on a shared passion for music and dance, A-custica is more than just a school and education center — it also serves as a creative platform for the arts.
The vision behind A-custica is to provide students with high-quality education and professional training that goes beyond regular dance classes. In addition to practical training, students are introduced to musical education, lectures, cultural history, and traditions connected to the different art forms. The focus is placed on understanding where the art forms originated, how they have evolved, and their role in today’s artistic landscape.
Both founders are highly respected within their fields. Iselin Jansen Ruiz leads Tickle Toes Tap Dance School, the tap dance department of A-custica. With extensive experience in tap dance, jazz dance, and jazz music, she brings a deep artistic understanding and educational expertise to her teaching.
The second department of A-custica focuses on mambo, Latin dance, and percussion, led by Alexis Ruiz, also known as “Alexistyle.” As a specialist in mambo and Latin American music and dance, he is recognized for his strong knowledge of musicality, cultural roots, history, and movement. His approach creates a unique and immersive learning experience for students of all levels.
